Two schools will be showing off their new play facilities to a VIP visitor next Friday.
Holy Family, in Keighley, and Hothfield Primary, Silsden, each shared in a district-wide £9 million lottery pot.
And Vanessa White, head of region for the Big Lottery Fund Yorkshire and Humber, is visiting to see the results.
Holy Family netted £1,575,000 for a new four-court sports hall and fitness suite, classroom and storage space, while Hothfield scooped £125,000 towards a multi-use games area.
The cash is from the Big Lottery Fund’s Opportunities for PE and Sport programme, administered by Bradford Council.
Councillor Michael Kelly, the council’s executive member for services to children and young people, said: “Over the past four years Bradford district’s children, young people and community groups have benefited greatly from this lottery funding.
“It has resulted in high-quality play and sports facilities across the district which has helped to encourage more people to become active and improve their lifestyles.”
