Keighley carers can enjoy pampering and get financial advice at an event next Friday.
Organiser Bradford Council said many people who give up jobs to care full-time for a relative, spouse or friend do not claim the benefits they are entitled to.
Next week’s event — at the Ramada Hotel, Bingley (10.30am-3pm) — will give carers the chance to learn more about their rights and how they can be supported.
Also on offer will be meditation and relaxation, massages and mini-manicures.
Councillor Dale Smith, the council’s executive member for adult and community services, said: “Carers provide a vital role to people with a range of needs and often they are unaware of the support available to them. This is the chance to find out more, relax a little and meet others in similar circumstances.”
