Rotarians collected more than £800 at Sainsbury’s, in Keighley, on Saturday to help victims of the Cumbrian floods.
And the Haworth & Worth Valley and Keighley clubs have praised a musician who helped the event hit a high note.
“We raised the magnificent sum of £886,” said Haworth & Worth Valley club president Father Ben Griffiths. He said the event was enlivened by someone called Derek, who lives in Silsden. He played his accordion raised £126 of the total.
The two clubs topped up the money to £1,000.
