An anonymous woman has donated £100 to the children of tragic Bracken Bank mother Angie Wilcock.
Single mother Angie died last month from breast cancer leaving four children, aged 11 to 21.
Friends, neighbours and other townspeople raised £3,674 for the youngsters with two social events. The Keighley News last week publicised the efforts to help the family make ends meet.
Immediately after reading the story an unnamed local woman phoned the Keighley News to offer her support.
She then put a cheque for £100 through the door of Bracken Bank Community Centre.
Community centre worker Bernie O’Neill, a friend of Angie, said the money would be used for a special treat for the youngsters.
Bernie said: “The lady sent a card with a little note to say her heart went out to the children.”
Angie, 39, who grew up on Bracken Bank, single-handedly brought up Mark, 21, Laura, 17, Jack, 15, and Joe, 11.
Angie’s lifelong friend Laura Tretton last week described the former Oakbank School student as outgoing, happy and a fantastic mother.
