A man suffering drug induced mental illness twice damaged a wall in Lynfield Mount Hospital, Daisy Hill, Bradford, where he was a patient because it relieved him of stress, magistrates heard.
Phillip Hodgson, now living in Fair Isle Buildings, Keighley, admitted punching holes in the wall of his hospital room on February 17 and August 26 this year and was sentenced to a 12 months conditional discharge.
Prosecutor Mark Steeples said the 24-year-old was in hospital receiving treatment for drug induced psychosis when the incident happened.
Bingley Magistrates were told he had suffered hallucinations and heard voices and lashing out was a relief for his frustrations.
