Haworth appears in a new DVD about Yorkshire’s Christmas customs.
“Around and About Yorkshire at Christmas” has been made over a three-year period by Horsforth-based film producer Mark Saville.
He said: “Most people nowadays see Christmas as a very commercial celebration. The events I have filmed are free to see, although many collect money for charity. The great thing is that local people are keen to keep customs going despite bureaucrats trying to stamp them out.”
The DVD includes footage of a Santa Special steam train on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway. It also features scenes filmed at the popular torchlight procession in Main Street, Haworth. The DVD costs £6.99, including postage and packaging, and is available by contacting Mr Saville on 0113 2584680 or online on the Amazon website.
