Ryan Chilton could only remember swinging a woman by her hair when he saw himself on CCTV, magistrates were told.
The 25-year-old of Birchlands Grove, Wilsden, did not know Eva Andrews when he attacked her during a disturbance in Boundary Hill, Bingley, on September 25.
Chilton pleaded guilty at court in Bingley on Thursday to assault and using threatening behaviour.
The magistrates said they were considering a community order and adjourned the hearing until January 13 for a pre-sentence report.
They were told that the assault happened outside Porky’s nightclub, in the early hours, after Miss Andrews approached a woman who was sitting on the ground crying.
Chilton squared up to Miss Andrews and then swung her by her hair.
The magistrates bench learned that Chilton was seen being goaded by one of the women but could not remember the incident himself because he had been drinking.
