People hoping to use Keighley’s Christmas Day bus service have been warned it might have to be restricted if the icy weather continues.

The heritage service has been run annually by the Keighley Bus Museum Trust since 1995.

But the severe December weather has led organisers to issue a note of caution to prospective passengers.

Trust chairman Graham Mitchell said: "Whilst all reasonable efforts will be made to run the services as advertised, should road conditions on Friday 25th be treacherous then services may have to be modified or even curtailed in the interests of passenger and bus crew safety.

"We very much hope that our loyal regular supporters will understand and bear with us if we have to change our schedules at short notice."

The trust has released an information number for people needing updates on Christmas Day. It is 07961 174295.

If the buses are able to operate normally, they will provide hourly services to Airedale Hospital, residential areas of Guard House, Black Hill and Fell Lane and the villages of Oakworth, Haworth and Oxenhope.
