The man pictured below is being sought by police after a teenager was assaulted in an attempted robbery outside Morrisons supermarket, Keighley, on Christmas Eve.

The 19-year-old woman was pushed to the ground while she was checking her bank balance at a cashpoint machine.

The mugger fled empty-handed towards Keighley market. The victim was uninjured.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the 3.50pm incident.

The suspect is described as 5ft 7in tall and stocky and he was wearing dark clothing, including a fleece with the hood up.

Det Insp John Priestley, of Airedale and North Bradford CID, said: “This was a very busy time on Christmas Eve with people shopping at both Morrisons and the indoor market and the incident would have been witnessed.

“The victim was not injured but was shaken.”

Witnesses, or anyone with information, should contact Det Con Gareth Hamer, of Airedale and North Bradford CID, on 0845 6060606.
