A KEIGHLEY restaurant is celebrating winning a national award at a presentation ceremony in Manchester.
Shimla Spice was awarded the prize for best marketing campaign in the 2014 English Curry Awards.
Iftikhar Hussain, who collected the award on behalf of the restaurant at the presentation at the AJ Bell Stadium, said he and his colleagues were delighted to have received the accolade.
"We've won many big awards in the past, but this year I've been really pushing for the marketing award," he said. "It isn't easy to win this, but we do spend a lot of time using social media to interact with our customers.
"It is our customers that make the restaurant and I dedicate this award to them.
"We were up against top restaurants who have big marketing agencies working for them. At Shimla we have to handle both the restaurant and the marketing, so to have beaten the competition is really special.
"We also won the award for best Indian restaurant in England last year, and earlier this year we got the Keighley Business Awards food and drink award."
