PRIZES were awarded in 11 different categories during last Friday's business awards.
In addition to Feature Radiators' winning the overall award and a trio of individual prizes, six other businesses and individuals were named as winners.
Cross Hills-based company Platinum Stairlifts won two awards – the manufacturer/engineering business of the year, sponsored by BHP Clough & Co and excellence in overseas trade, sponsored by Santander.
Responding to his business's success, financial controller Daniel Miller said: "It's fantastic, a really proud moment for the company.
"It's nice to get this recognition for the good work we've been doing over the last 12 months.
"We're doing well, growing fast, and selling 70 per cent of our goods abroad."
Keighley's North Street-based Tax Assist Accountants won the award for financial/professional services business of the year, sponsored by Williscroft & Co Solicitors.
The same firm gained a second honourable mention, as its trainee Georgina Burn won the award for apprentice/trainee of the year, sponsored by Keighley Campus Leeds City College.
Husband and wife team David and Julia Forrester, who set up Tax Assist Accountants eight years ago said they were delighted with their performance.
Mr Forrester said: "We're really pleased, particularly for our staff and clients. We're had a great night.
"We've taken on our 10th member of staff this year, and also gone over the mark of 500 clients."
Ms Burn, a former Holy Family Catholic School pupil, said: "This means so much to me, and it's great to have amazing bosses.
"When you have bosses who treat you well it motivates you to want to do better."
The prize for New Business of the Year – sponsored by Airedale Enterprise Services – went to Vets 4 Pets Keighley, based in Hard Ings Road.
Vet and surgery owner Lara Clarkson said: "It's recognition of how much our customers appreciate what we do.
"We've been going since July 2013. We had eight members of staff then and now we have 17.
"We'd like to thank our customers, as it's because of them that we've made it to where we are."
The large business of the year category was sponsored by Airedale Springs and won by Keighley-based manufacturing company Powerrun.
Managing director Paul Moore said: "We're a growing, up-and-coming company which I think the judges appreciated.
"We're working on an order worth more than £3 million for the Lee Tunnel project in Beckton to eliminate pollution into the River Lee.
"We're providing suction and discharge pipework for what is one of the largest pumping station projects in the UK for many years."
The award for independent trader of the year, sponsored by Fenetic Wellbeing, was won by Slow Food Kitchen cafe and bistro, in Keighley's North Street.
Andrew Cowen, who runs the venture single-handed, said: "It's great, I wasn't expecting this.
"The business is going well and is very popular. I change my menu every week.
"It's a lot of work, but it's O.K. when it's your own business and it's something you're passionate about."
