A KEIGHLEY nursing home has been sold.
Laurel Mount, in Woodville Road, has been bought for an undisclosed sum by Reemy MediCare Ltd.
Dr Baby Cherian, managing director of the care-provider company, said: “We are excited to have purchased Laurel Mount Nursing Home and are looking forward to working with the staff and getting to know the residents and their families.”
The home, which had been in the same ownership for nearly two decades, is registered with the Care Quality Commission as providing nursing for up to 34 people.
The sale was handled by Jonathan Wickens, a director of business property advisor, Christie & Co.
He said: “We are pleased to have worked on the sale and wish Reemy Medicare every success in the future.
“With the vaccination rollout well under way and care homes considered a priority, we have now seen all homes offered the first vaccine – with many already having received the booster dose.
“The flow of homes coming to market is slower than in previous years which means there is demand, particularly from existing operators looking to expand portfolios.”
