Hunslet Old Boys 54 Keighley 0
Keighley ended up on the wrong side of a totally one-sided Pennine League Premier Division game.
From the first whistle, the visitors started poorly, knocking on from the kick-off and repeating the error on their next set in their own 20-metre area on the third tackle.
Giving up the ball so easily just meant Keighley had to defend near their own line. It was only a matter of time before the home side crossed and the first try came after five minutes.
It seemed Keighley had not learnt anything from other games as they kept giving Hunslet good field position to attack by giving penalties and dropping balls.
The odd time Keighley did get near the Hunslet line, poor decision-making let them down, with players attacking down the short side and being knocked into touch.
At the break Keighley were 20-0 down and there was no let-up in the second half.
The visitors did start in better form but the damage had been done. After the opening ten minutes it was one-way traffic, with Old Boys scoring another 34 more points.
With a week off for the Super League Grand Final, Keighley must find some better form for their next game in the BARLA Yorkshire Cup against Reckitts, from Hull, at home on October 12.
