LEADERS Bingley Congs II went down by 80 runs to Glusburn to drop to second in Mewies Solicitors Craven & District League Division Three
Number 10 Matt Lloyd (40) and skipper Steve Brown (39) saw Glusburn to 168-9. Steve Broughton 3-8 off his allotted 12 overs and Josh Zenner (3-41) were the pick of the bowlers.
Congs had little to offer against the bowling of James Tillotson, whose 7-24 had them back in the hut for 88.
New leaders Silsden were away to Oakworth II. They made 159-8 going first with Jack Lister scoring 63 and Ben Sugden 36 as Charlie Raby claimed 5-49. The Cure Hill side replied with 103 with u13 James Powell making 45 as Joe Sugden took 6-40
Martin Chisnall (43no) and Rob Cockell (34) helped Skipton CI to 161-7 on their travels to Bradley for whom John Duffey claimed 4-13. Bradley passed that total for the loss eight wickets. Phil Binner faced just 40 balls and blasted six sixes and five fours in his 74.
Riddlesden made a solid 212-9 at Grange Road thanks to Kahsam Farooq (68) and Mohammed Gulnawaz (45) as Archie Phillipson took 3-44. Dominic Kay (52) and Harry Bailiff (48) were the backbone of Embsay II's 175 as Zaim Neem (6-29) took the bowling plaudits. Embsay remain bottom with just two points covering the sides just above them.
Asrar Sarwar (82) and Zaheer Abbas (38) helped Foulridge II to 206 down at Thornton as Mark Laycock finished with 5-31. Thornton could only manage 65-9 after Kevin Pollard retired hurt on three. Extras 13 was the top scorer as Faraz Ahmed took 4-18.
Meanwhile, Division Four leaders, 10-man Denholme, slipped up to Airedale going down by six wickets.
Denholme made 137-9 with loanee Martin Walker (40) and Callum Gerrard (38) leading the way as Saqid Javaid (5-9) bowled well.
In reply, Akram Javed (52no) saw the Bradford Road side to the points.
Second-placed Cowling, who had Steve Dalby celebrating his 50th year as a playing member of the club, beat Bingley Congs III by 94 runs.
Both sides gave Dalby a guard of honour before the start of the game.
He then made 37 to help his side to 148-8 as Rob Stow took 4-43.
Congs could only muster 54, in reply, with Paul Sansom making 23 and Qamar Zaman taking 5-12.
Gargrave II just held off the challenge of Wilsden II to win by 20 runs.
Gargrave made 118-8 with Tony Spensley (25) top scoring as Imran Khan (3-11) was the best bowler.
Khan followed this with 40 as the Wilsden totalled 98 with Chris Smith finishing with 4-15.
Frazer Atkinson (25) and Dave Collins (23no) rescued Long Lee II from 60-7 to get them to 114 as Amaan Nadeem took 3-16.
Visitors Keighley III were then shot out for 42 with Collins (6-9) and Matt Mounsey (3-32) doing the damage.
Andrew Fountain (79) and Jack Whitaker (51) put on 131 for the first wicket to help Sutton II reach 197-5.
Nine-man Oakworth III replied with 98-8 led by Paul Carter (31) and Jake Keslinki (23).
Finally, in a low scoring game, Skipton CI II beat Bradley II by 36 runs.
Mel Mason (39) and Tim Rudden (4-9) figured in the home side's 83-8.
Rudden, batting at No 11 scored 14, the only player in double figures as Bradley struggled to 47. Sefal Allam finished with 6-17.
Clubs are reminded that the start time for games, for the next two weeks is 1.30pm, with the final week starting at 1pm.
