CHRIS Melling could not quite replicate his triumph earlier this month, but still finished in an impressive third place in Predator's Championship League Pool on Monday night.
The Keighley potter pocketed £10,000 for winning the Vinny Champions League Pool tournament on March 8, before beginning his journey in the Predator competition last Monday.
He won his group to sail straight into this Monday's finals day, going up against the likes of Eklent Kaci (Albania) and Niels Feijen (The Netherlands).
He made it all the way to the semi-finals, but was defeated by David Alcaide (Spain).
Alcaide couldn't pull off victory though, losing in the final to Albin Ouschan (Austria).
After showing no signs of rust on his return to the table following a year away due to the pandemic, Melling is primed to have a fine 2021 season.
