In the Keighley & Aire Valley Alliance League AC Victoria brought Santa's sack with them when they played host to Keighley Athletic and conjured 12 goals out of it.

They also played Scrooge as they only conceded one goal as it finished 12-1.

Scorers for AC were Adam Senior with a hat-trick and Joel Gallagher, two for Michael Rhodes and R Altonia and one for Danny Moriarty. Even their keeper L McNichols got in on the act by scoring a goal.

Keighley Royal played host to Cavendish Hotel in a match featuring two teams who have found life difficult in the Premier Division since their promotion.

However, Cavendish have begun to improve of late so it was somewhat of a surprise when Royal emerged as 5-1 victors.

Richard Wade opened the scoring for Royal and S Cook scored the second, Steve Perryman netted the third, Dave Harman the fourth and Perryman scored his second and the final goal.

Stanbury emerged the worthy winners when they played host to New Variety Club but the 5-1 scoreline does not truly reflect how the game went.

New Variety started the game more brightly and controlled play for the first 15 minutes when against the play Andy King netted for Stanbury. This seemed to galvanise his team and shortly after he scored again with a great solo effort.

Shortly before the break, Liam Blacka, scored with a great long range effort to give his team a 3-0 lead at half-time.

Fifteen minutes into the second half New Variety were awarded a penalty from which they reduced the arrears, however after this a goal by M Gilmartin and a further one by Blacka gave Stanbury all three points. In the First Division Keighley Star played host to Albert Hotel in a match where both teams shared the points after a 1-1 draw. Albert led 1-0 at half-time through a goal by Chris Morris. In the second half Keighley Star got a goal back.

Keighley Victoria played Silsden Town and in re-match of an encounter early in the season where Silsden lost 5-4 in a nine-goal thriller.

However, there was to be no repeat of that encounter with Keighley Victoria ran out easy 7-0 winners.

Snooty Fox travelled to Horsforth in a third attempt to play their County Trophy game against Horsforth Town. Two previous games had been postponed and once again adverse weather conditions prevented this match from being played though Snooty Fox believed the ground was fit to play on. The match will now be played this Sunday, weather permitting.
