TWO of the Bradford District's brightest teenage talents boxed against one another last Friday night.
And in the end it was Keighley that triumphed over Bradford.
Jamaal Rehman, who has won a couple of Yorkshire titles in the last few months, beat Clayton boxer Harvey Speight, who won a National Junior title in November 2021.
The bout took place at a Halifax ABC show, where Speight is a member.
Winning on enemy territory, against a national champion, was a real feather in Rehman's cap.
One of his coaches at Keighley ABC, George Metcalf, enthused: "It was a great performance from the Keighley boxer, and it was achieved by pushing him forward for Yorkshire selection.
"I was very impressed by his display on the night."
