IT has not been the best of starts to the season for Keighley Cougars' Dan Parker, as faces another spell on the sidelines through suspension.
He was handed a four-game ban at the start of the season by the RFL after being charged with a Grade D Other Contrary Behaviour offence for an off-the-ball incident in the Challenge Cup defeat to Hunslet.
That happened in the 62nd minute of the game, and he was sin-binned at the time.
He was also fined £75.
Parker had to watch from the sidelines as Cougars made a blistering start to the League 1 campaign, and he was finally back in action during the 30-0 win over Swinton last Sunday.
But now he will have to sit out another couple of matches, after being handed a two-game suspension for a Grade C offence in that impressive victory.
The RFL have ruled that Parker used dangerous contact while making a tackle in the 11th minute, something he was not penalised for at the time.
The ruling means he will be banned for Cougars' upcoming fixtures away at the West Wales Raiders and at home to the Rochdale Hornets.
However, he will be available for selection for this weekend’s visit of the London Skolars to Cougar Park.
