Keighley Amateur Boxing Club's Majid Ayub won his third bout in ten weeks at the club's sixth annual boxing dinner held last Friday at Victoria Hall.
The boxing night dinner, held in conjunction with Keighley Albion ARLFC, has raised £12,000, split between the two clubs over the last six years, said organiser Paul Moore.
Moore said: "The quality of the boxing tonight was good, although it could have been better with more Keighley boxers.
Only three of the nine bouts featured Keighley boxers, with Ayub winning the penultimate bout and Luke Simpson and Liam Dyson losing their bouts.
Nathan Brearley was a casualty of one of five bouts cancelled on the night when his opponent, Callum Archer of Solihull ABC from Birmingham, did not turn up.
The first bout of the night featured the winner of the Best Boxer of the night award, Dean Inman of Furs ABC from Liverpool.
Inman won his bout by a unanimous decision against Tom Jones of Tom Hill ABC from Doncaster. A vicious shot from the skilful Inman in the third round staggered his opponent.
Sixteen-year-old Luke Simp-son of Keighley boxed in the second bout of the night.
Simpson started out OK but took a battering in the second round, and when he took a big right to the head in third round, the referee stopped the fight, awarding it to Christopher Boyne of Hull Saints ABC.
In the next bout, Keighley's Liam Dyson, 15, and his opponent Adam Parker of Tom Hill ABC started tentatively in the first round.
But Parker came out attacking in the second landing several punches to Dyson's body, including a series of blows when he had the Keighley boxer in the corner.
Dyson had to retire at the end of the round after receiving a nasty blow to the ribs.
In one of the most entertaining bouts of the night, Dawood Zamir, a two-time opponent against Ayub, won a majority decision against Hull Saints ABC boxer Joel Haigh.
In a hard and fast bout, Haigh was a lively puncher but ultimately his poor footwork cost him as Zamir was more measured in his approach.
The bout of the night for the Keighley crowd was Ayub's win by unanimous decision against Keiren Whitnall of Highfield ABC from Doncaster.
Ayub, 18, got off to a solid start, and although he had a few lunging punches, the Keighley lad had his opponent defending throughout.
Ayub had Whitnall on the ropes twice and eventually bloodied his nose. The bout was not without some controversy as Ayub took offence to a head-butt from Whit-nall and had a few words with the Doncaster boxer at the end.
The final bout of the night featured a visiting boxer with a massive following. John Paul Carney of Furs ABC from Liverpool annihilated Ryan O'Hagan of Preston/Fulwood ABC. Carney won by unanimous decision, landing some powerful punches on his way to an easy victory.
Keighley trainer John Daly said of Ayub, who won the Best Keighley Boxer award on the night: "Maj is one of our best boxers and is really well liked at the club. He has beaten more experienced boxers in his bouts."
