It's nice to see Aaron Hollindrake having some good success on his return to Steeton AFC.

The striker, who had been struggling with a knee injury earlier this year in a stint at Guiseley, has been a hit since his return to the Summerhill Lane side he played his junior football with.

Hollindrake, who was a regular for Silsden AFC's first team last year, has scored four goals in the last weeks, including a hat-trick in Steeton's 4-1 win at Littletown last weekend.

His impact on Steeton has been noticeable in the past weeks since resigned with the club in late January.

The youngsters at the club are also starting to gel and that is a telling factor as Steeton are beginning to produce some good results.

One of those youngsters, defender Arley Barnes, became one of the youngest captains in Steeton history when he skippered his side to victory at Littletown at the tender young age of 17! To top it off he scored his first goal for the senior team!

It will be interesting to see how Steeton do this weekend when they travel to third placed Marsden.

Hollindrake will certainly have a lot to think about as Steeton's important game will not be the only thing on his mind. He also will be busy at home, as his girlfriend Natalie has given birth to a daughter, Elle Rose.

I think there could be a hat-trick of nappy changes in order for young Mr Hollindrake!

Speaking of babies, my one-year-old, Abigail, took her first steps just a few days ago.

She's not walking every single minute but it won't be long before I find myself chasing after a little athlete in the mould of Keighley runner Ian Holmes!
