It's been an unlucky season for Silsden Park Rangers, who lie bottom of Division Four and are resigning themselves to relegation.

Their coach, John Sutcliffe, has been unavailable due to work commitments. And his replacement, player-coach Dave Webster, is hoping to emigrate to Australia in the near future. So the club will be looking for a new coach to start the 2008-2009 campaign, said Peter Fell, the club's secretary and chairman.

The club's facilities have been vandalised and equipment has been stolen, which will cost the Rangers £1,000 to replace.

As a fund-raiser for the new equipment, the club will hold a disco at Silsden Town Hall on Saturday, April 19. The event will feature local rock band Little Earthquakes and starts at 8pm. Tickets costing £10 are available from Peter Fell on 01535 653598.

On the positive note, up to this point Fell said Silsden's Player of the Season is second row forward Shaun Metcalfe, who joined from Cowling Harlequins last year. Alex Trevors is the club's Young Player of the Season.

This Saturday Silsden play at home to Thornton. Kick off is at 2.30pm.
