It's going to be another weekend of sporting action.

Whenever you get a Bank Holiday in this country, it seems like an extra schedule of games is on over the weekend to satisfy the sporting hunger that many of us have!

Personally I'll be far too busy with other activities, like looking after my 14-month-old who seems to like this walking thing' and is in process of experimenting the next step in the process - learning how to run! To be honest, I think she's running her daddy ragged!

I must be getting too old to keep up with the younger generation.

However I am doing my best to stay in shape by playing five-a-side football every other week.

I had my best outing last Sunday, even though I didn't score a goal like I did the previous two games.

It would be nice to catch one of Sunday's Premier League clashes - Chelsea v Arsenal or Manchester United v Liverpool - but I may have to watch Match of the Day in the evening.

Locally, there will be plenty of rugby league and football to go around. Keighley Cougars' fans will be a double dose of their beloved Cougars.

You will have to travel to Hunslet Hawks on Good Friday to see the Cougars open their National League Two campaign. Kick-off is at 7.30pm.

Also kicking at 7.30pm on Monday will be the Cougars' second match of the league season, which sees Swinton Lions come to town to take on Barry Eaton's men at Cougar Park.

Cougar Park will also be the venue for Silsden AFC when they derby rivals Nelson at noon. The Cobbydalers also travel to Abbey Hey on Saturday. Kick-off is 3pm.
