GLUSBURN youngster Cat Ferguson (Hope Factory Racing) won the junior females’ race in the fourth round of the Yorkshire Cycling Association’s Points Series at Temple Newsam Park in Leeds on Sunday.
The teenager finished the course in 39 minutes and 18 seconds, an impressive minute and 36 seconds ahead of her nearest challenger, Imogen Wolff (Shibden Cycling Club).
This is another small step for Ferguson on the road to becoming a professional cyclist.
She has already won the first round of the National Trophy Series in Derby.
In the under-nine girls’ race, Bronte Tykes finished third and fourth via Gracie Throup and Iris Justice.
