KEIGHLEY potter Chris Melling has seen his hot streak continue, with some outrageous play seeing him into the quarter-finals of the Ultimate Pool Pro Cup.
Melling beat David McNamara 7-3 in his Group 8 opener, and in the deciding match against Dan Eaton-Lees, some of his shots and clearances were a sight to behold.
He went on to beat Eaton-Lees 7-3, booking himself a quarter-final this afternoon against Jack Whelan.
Melling's fellow Keighley potter Arfan Dad was desperately unlucky to bow out at the first hurdle in Group 6, losing a thriller 5-4 to Jordan Shepherd.
Bradford native Karl Boyes was also in that group, but his exit was more clearcut, as he suffered a 7-1 defeat at the hands of Aaron Davies.
Davies was beaten 7-5 by Shepherd in the group decider, with the Welshman progressing into a quarter-final against Tom Ford this morning.
