KEIGHLEY boxer Ibrahim Nadim was stunned on Saturday night, as he lost his unbeaten record by the slimmest of margins.
The 24-year-old featherweight was looking to make it 10 professional wins from 10 fights in Oldham, but he came a cropper against Bulgaria's Tinko Banabakov.
The six-round bout was deemed close by referee John Latham, but he awarded Banabakov (now 5-1) the victory on points by a 58-57 margin.
Gracious in defeat, Steeton-born Nadim took to Instagram to post the below:
Nadim, who is trained by English boxing icon Ricky Hatton, told the Keighley News last week that he was eyeing a possible English title fight this year.
It remains to be seen in the coming weeks or months whether this defeat proves a setback to those hopes.
