CHRIS Melling will not be joining his fellow Keighley native Arfan Dad in the Ultimate Pool Masters quarter-finals, having bowed out of the competition on Wednesday night.
Melling had reached the last-32, and was playing in group six of the second group stage.
Only the winner was able to reach the last-eight, and Irishman Karl O'Donoghue was the first to progress into the night's final by beating Dylan Leary 8-5.
Keighley potter Melling looked a beaten man at 6-3 down in the other night's semi-final, against Welshman Jordan Shepherd.
But an outrageous clearance in frame 10 pulled him back within two.

Melling won two of the following three frames to pull it back to 7-6, but was unable to take the match to a decider, as Shepherd enjoyed a thrilling 8-6 victory.
But Shepherd was on the wrong end of an 8-6 scoreline in the final, as O'Donoghue was the one to progress.
Melling joins Bradford's Karl Boyes in being knocked out at the second group stage of the competition.
As for Dad, his quarter-final clash will be against the winner of the group containing Scott Gillespie, Karl Sutton, Gareth Potts and Matt Brierley.
That group will take place on Wednesday, April 26.
