Young Yorkshire and England batsman Harry Brook enjoyed another special day in his fledgling career yesterday, as he hit the first century of this year's Indian Premier League.
The 24-year-old, born in the Keighley district, blasted 100 not out from just 55 balls for Sunrisers Hyderabad in their 23-run win over Kolkata Knight Riders in the world's most prestigious franchise cricket competition.
Brook, who grew up in Burley-in-Wharfedale, hit 12 fours and three sixes, carrying his bat after opening the innings alongside Mayank Agarwal, as Sunrisers made 228/4.
Kolkata were always behind in reply and could only manage 205/7.
