City of Bradford Swimming Club prospect Gabe Medd, who hails from Keighley, starred at the first Aquasphere Epic Lakes Swim Open Water event of the season, held at Ullswater earlier this month.
Over the 3.8km event he finished second male and third overall in time of 51 minutes 45 seconds.
A father and daughter duo from Keighley also impressed at Ullswater, with young Imogen Tiffany placing eighth female and 14th overall in the one-mile event with a time of 22:51.
Dad Paul Tiffany swam in the one-mile event too, placing 19th overall and third veteran in a time 23.28.
Others to compete at one-mile distance were Rebecca Dunn, who was fifth female and 11th overall in a time of 22.47, and her sister Alex, who claimed ninth female and 15th overall in a time of 23.28.
Finally, in the 500m event, Jade Buxton finished 37th overall in a time of 11.47.
The group’s City of Bradford team-mate Sam Naylor was in action at the British Masters Championships at the start of the month.
He did superbly, winning a national title and two silver medals.
His gold medal and national title came in the 18/24 years 200m freestyle event in a time of 2.03.52.
Naylor came in silver medal position in the 400m individual medley and 200m butterfly in times of 5.01.17 and 2.19.00 respectively.
