City of Bradford Swimming Club had two representatives who competed at the National Masters Short Course Championship, which were held at Ponds Forge Sheffield.
Swimming in the 70/74 years age group, Sutton-in-Craven’s Chris Brown claimed two silver medals in the 50m backstroke and butterfly events, in times 34.87 of and 35.32 respectively.
In the 100m backstroke event, his time of 1.20.42 placed him in bronze medal position.
Nicola Jones competed in the 40/44 years 50m breaststroke and 200m individual medley.
Her swims claimed her a top-10 finish in the medley event and a top-20 finish in the breaststroke event.
Both swimmers train with Bradford Council’s Leisure Services Aquatic Competition Programme under the guidance of Senior Coach Andy Pearce and Development Coach Sarah Fisher.
