Keighley potter Chris Melling came close to taking home another Ultimate Pool title at the weekend, but fell just short of his sixth trophy on the circuit.
He was in action in Blackpool, for Pro Series Events 3 and 4.
Ten of them take place each season, with five weekends a year dedicated to two events each.
And it was in Pro Series 4 where Melling was looking in imperious form, swatting aside top talent like Callum Singleton and Declan Brennan on his way to the semi-final.
But there he came up against a superb performance from Jack Whelan, who ended the Keighley ace's run with an impressive 7-3 victory.
Whelan carried that form into the final too, where he thumped Rob Wharne 8-2 to take home the title in style.
