CHRIS Melling has sailed into finals night of Ultimate Pool’s Champions League event, after blitzing the rest of the competition on Monday night.
The Keighley ace had qualified for the last-16 earlier in the year, with that being split into four groups of four.
The winner of each of those four groups goes through to Finals Night, which takes place on Monday. May 27.
Tom Cousins and Declan Brennan had already qualified, with Melling heading up the third last-16 group alongside Kristi Caulfield, Karl Sutton and Scott Gillespie.
The Keighley veteran edged out Caulfield 2-1 in his opener, before beating Gillespie 4-3 in his second match.
That meant Melling just had to win his final game of the night against Sutton to make the semis, and he did just that, beating his opponent 4-1.
His last-four clash on Finals Night will be against next Monday’s winner of Group D, which is being contested between Carl Morris, Jack Whelan, Shaun Storry and Josh Juhasz.
