STEETON have won their third game of the season in the Aire-Wharfe League Premier Division, defeating visitors Tong Park Esholt by six wickets.

However, Steve Pearson’s side are still odds against stopping up a year after being promoted as they trail third-from-bottom Rawdon by 36 points with 10 matches remaining.

Esholt chose to bat, but probably regretted it at the tea interval as they had been rolled over for just 107, Waddilove Cup finalists Steeton winning by six wickets in the 27th over.

Meanwhile, Harden notched an important victory in Division One, moving out of a relegation berth with a nine-wicket success over visitors Bardsey.

The Leeds club chose to bat, but were dismissed for 85 in 26.1 overs, Harden then taking just 9.5 overs to knock off the runs.

Toby Priestley was the star of the show with the bat for the hosts, thumping 61 from 33 balls, but he would not have been able to do that without the bowling triple threat that dismantled Bardsey.

Matthew Hogg led the way with 4-23, but Jake Holroyd (3-19) and Ben McGonigle (3-38) provided more than useful back up for him.

Harden are now five points in front of Bardsey after their maximum haul as the teams swapped places.
