Steeton hosted Route One Rovers at Marley on Tuesday night, in a battle of landlords versus tenants in the North West Counties Football League First Division North.
And it was the “away” side who claimed the three points with a 2-1 win, after scoring two penalties towards the end of the first half through Umar Ali and Atta Rehman.
Route One were undoubtedly the better team before the break, but Steeton were much-improved thereafter, and halved the deficit on 68 minutes through Jacob Smith.

He reacted quickest to turn the ball home after a dangerous ball in from the right by Ethan Hudson-Parker caused chaos in the box.
That led to a magnificent end-to-end finale, with Route One looking to clinch victory with a third goal and Steeton desperately searching for a late equaliser.
But in the end, neither side could find the net again, with that victory lifting the visitors up above Steeton in the table.
The Chevrons sit second-bottom after their opening four games, with only pointless Skelmersdale United below them.
