KEIGHLEY Cougars narrowly survived a comeback attempt at North Wales Crusaders yesterday to claim a vital two points.
The visitors were 16-2 up and cruising at the interval, but the hosts found an extra gear after the break to bring the scores level at 16-16.
However, a Jack Miller penalty and George Flanagan converted try was enough for Cougars to seal a late but decisive 24-16 victory.
Miller, Adam Ryder and Alex Bishop also found themselves on the scoresheet for the visitors.
Up next for Keighley is the small matter of a visit from the league leaders, Oldham.
The side from Cougar Park will be hoping to claw some of the three-point deficit back this Sunday.
