STEETON enjoyed their double weekend, notching two wins that have taken them out of a relegation berth in the Aire-Wharfe League Premier Division.
On Saturday they returned to Bilton, six days after losing there to Horsforth Hall Park in the Waddilove Cup final.
Rock-bottom Bilton won the toss and chose to bat, making 213-7, with No 4 Michael Rawlins finishing on 103 not out.
Ben Hemsley (3-36) took three of the first four wickets to fall as Bilton stumbled to 38-4 before a stand of 155 revived them.
However, Steeton made light of that target, winning by nine wickets at the end of the 31st over.
Luke Chapman (12) added 54 for the first wicket with overseas player Tremaine Dowrich, who ended up on 109 not out, made off 94 balls and including 16 fours.
Keeping him company in an unbroken partnership of 164 was Ben Hemsley, who finished on 62 not out from 61 deliveries, including six fours, backing up his 82 from the cup final.
On Sunday, Steeton were at fourth-placed Burley in a match that was re-arranged from earlier in the season.
The hosts opted to bat, but were back in the pavilion for 115 in the 31st over, with change bowlers Ewan Johnston (5-39) and Paul Quinlan (3-21) doing the damage.
Dowrich (39) then put on 60 with Chapman (17) before Hemsley (24no) saw Steeton to a six-wicket win in the 27th over.
They are now 21 points ahead of second-from-bottom Rawdon, albeit having played a game more.
Meanwhile, Harden suffered a heart-breaking defeat at home to Olicanian in Division One on Saturday.
The visitors, sent in, made 236-7 in a game that was reduced to 40 overs-per-side, with No 5 Neyko Stiglingh finishing on 100 not out as Matthew Hogg took 3-48.
Harden’s No 3 Toby Priestley replied with 89, made off 69 balls and containing seven fours and six sixes, adding 48 for the third wicket with Prathamesh Kumble (18) and 82 for the fourth with Elliott Wilson (39).
However, they finished five runs short of victory on 232-9, although the points that they gained drew them level with third-from-bottom Bardsey on 135 points.
