DESPITE winning an eighth successive match, Steeton are not out of the woods yet in the Aire-Wharfe League Premier Division and remarkably could still go down.

There are three main reasons for that - one, they were docked 20 league points earlier in the season for disciplinary infringements; two, there are still three weeks to go; and three, Rawdon defeated Burley by one wicket off the last ball to remain 26 points behind the Summerhill Laners.

North Leeds were at Steeton and made 182 after being sent in, Steve Pearson (4-41) and Ewan Johnston (3-51) causing problems with the ball.

Overseas Tremaine Dowrich then scored a magnificent 112 not out as Steeton won by seven wickets inside 30 overs.

In Division One, Harden did not pick up any points at Beckwithshaw, remaining on 168 and dropping two places to the bottom, but they are still in a three-way fight to avoid relegation alongside Bardsey (170) and Calverley (171).

Harden, sent in by their hosts, were skittled for just 78 at Killinghall Road, Tom Stordy (26) the only man to make any sort of impression with the bat.

Beckwithshaw easily knocked off the runs for the loss of only one wicket in 13.5 overs.
