KEIGHLEY Cougars have announced two more retentions for the 2025 season.

Earlier this week, they announced that vice-captain Aaron Brown and Australian second row Lachlan Lanskey were staying put at Cougar Park, as they look to gain promotion to the Betfred Championship after falling short this year.

Junior Nuu and Max Lambourne have now followed suit, both signing one-year contract extensions at Keighley.

Nuu, an outside back, arrived at Cougars in April, having spent most of his career in rugby union.

He had a period with Bradford Bulls’ reserves to get up to speed with the code, but still helped Keighley to several wins during 2024.

Young winger Max Lambourne had his moments in his debut season with Cougars, but only played a bit-part role, with Cougars tending to go with the likes of Billy Walkley and Ben Blackmore out wide.

He will be hoping to make a bigger impression in 2025, and could end up partnering Walkley on the wings, with Blackmore’s deal at Cougars set to expire next month.

Lambourne will be eyeing up a breakthrough year like Walkley, with the latter earning a first-ever call up for Wales and a nomination for the RFL's League 1 Young Player of the Year off the back of his stellar 2024 campaign.
