SILSDEN’S reward for their superb run to the last-32 of the FA Vase in 2023/24 was a bye into the second round of this season’s competition.
And they finally enter the tournament next month, when normally they would have had to win three games to get to this stage.
The second round draw was made yesterday lunchtime, with the Cobbydalers handed a home tie against Ramsbottom United.
Like Silsden, Ramsbottom play in the ninth tier of English football, and they currently sit top of the North West Counties Football League Premier Division.
The FA Vase tie between the pair will take place on Saturday, November 9.
