Keighley Cougars have relaunched their SquadBuilder programme, with fans able to directly contribute to any potential signings or retentions.

Compared to their previous iteration of the scheme, there is more flexibility in payments, as well as some monthly prize draws.

A commitment to the SquadBuilder Programme of £11 per month or one off payment options are available through Cougars’ website, which can be accessed via this link.

Prize draws are monthly and include hospitality tickets and signed replica shirts, with £1 from every donation going towards Sue Ryder Manorlands.

Cougars said: “We appreciate any donations and we will update members with how the funds are apportioned within the squad.”

It is another positive for Keighley on a good week for the club.

They have shot up from a Grade C to a Grade B in the IMG Rankings, moving from 30th last year to 19th in those standings among the professional clubs that play in British rugby league.

They are one of only four clubs to improve their grade from the indicative rankings last October, while their jump of 11 places is higher than anyone else.

Cougars’ score shot up from 6.58 to 9.02, and the club have now broken that down to show where those improvements have come from:

Both chief operations officer Steve Watkinson and managing director Kaue Garcia have said this week that Keighley will continue to look to boost their score in the coming years.

Becoming the 19th best team in the country according to the IMG rankings does not mean Keighley will be promoted to the Betfred Championship.

They will remain in League 1 for 2025, given promotion between the second and third tiers remains linear, IMG only determining which 12 teams will play in Super League.
